I have a similar Ibanez bass. The quality overall is pretty good. It's short scale, light, sounds good, and super fun to play. Well worth $179.

I bought a similar short scale Ibanez bass from a SD sale. Really fun as a living room bass. Even used one for recording and got usable sounds.

I've played the mahogany version in store and liked it a lot. I'll probably wait for that model to go on sale, but this is a good price.

edit: just realized the mahogany is only 187 open box... 🫠

Just keep in mind Bass Guitars "usually" would need an amp to cut through guitar and singing. Even in an all acoustic performance a bass should be electric.

Only stand-up bass is loud enough un-amped. Still this would be fun in quiet settings.
