We bought our Lectric XP (original) three years ago for a little over $1,000. We've put well over 1,200 miles on it and haven't had any issues yet.

if you are on the fence
check out some reviews on youtube <> Jeremiah Mcintosh is a good start Wink

Being a single speed gearing the reviews show that at 15 mph or above ( 20 mph max ) your legs will be moving like eggbeaters, but other than that they seem great, I will order one soon. The battery cells are Lishen which are decent, almost as good as Samsung or LG. Using the extended battery pack the reviews show the bike can go 50+ miles on a charge with minimal peddling which would be great for my arthritic knees ( the result of biking for over 65 years)

I can confirm this. I have a different brand but same design. At any speed above 18 mph, I am peddling like I put it on the highest gear at standing still.

The "sale" prices for the XP Lite and the XP 3.0 are what the regular price has been. I assume this is Lectric's way of preparing customers for increased prices because of the tariff on Chinese imports going into effect this month.

What do you mean single speed gearing? The description said there's five levels of pedal assist. Are those different things?
(I don't know anything about e-bikes, only just started looking into them)

Gearing = pedals, chain, gears. This bike has no shifter: just one gear.
Pedal assist = the electric motor will run while you pedal to help you. You can have it help a little, a lot, or somewhere in the middle (5 levels)

There is also a twist throttle on the handlebars, so you can accelerate even when you're not pedaling.

To confirm - can you use this in throttle-only mode without pedaling?

I believe yes...but get the extended range battery. This is how I'm planning to use the bike.

Thank you for the suggestion
I called the company and spoke with a really knowledgeable rep. They too recommended getting the extended battery due to needing to use this in electric throttle mode a lot.

I am confirming with a family member tomorrow regarding color, then placing the order

Customer support for Lectric is Very poor. We Pre-ordered a X-Peak back in December. It arrived missing the front fender. We have contacted them 4 time's and each time we are told the fenders are on back order and are told to wait another month. We are still waiting...

From my research so far, Lectric is actually looked at as one of the better ones in the e-bike community. While it sucks that a part is back ordered, a lot of companies making these things offer practically 0 support if you even get a response at all

Is a part truly on backorder when Lectric is able to assemble and ship complete bike's to new customers every day for 6 months? No, Its Lectric's support or lack there of. Check out Lectric's site look at the Xpeak its in stock with the free starter package that has the fenders. Just pointing out the state of Lectric's "Support".

We are placing an order today and were told the starter package is delayed until 2nd or 3rd week of August and will arrive well after the bike itself.

So no, I don't think Lectic is intentionally giving you the shaft while they ship out other customer orders with the starter package. There appears to be a legitimate backorder that is affecting everyone.
