For those that understand the subject better than I, I know that it is actually amino acids, not protein, that is relevant and that it is only nine essential amino acids that are relevant that animals, including people, cannot make.
It's usually used in dining context and doesn't have to be animal protein, but often is.
Imo meal isn't complete with some kind of more protein dense pairing but yeah nothing is stopping anyone from just treating the packet of grains as an all in one meal. I just wouldn't personally feel satiated

Proteins are made of amino acids and made via various enzymes within cells based on "directions" from DNA. (Note - enzymes are proteins as well).
Now, if you meant essential amino acids - or those that humans can't make themselves via cellular/molecular processes - and saying they aren't in meat, that's incorrect also. Because other animals ("meat"/muscle) require them as well, they eat foods that have them and, in turn, they are in animal products (including meat/muscle) so you can get them from eating just meat.
Just google muscle, protein synthesis, and similar and you'll find some really great information on the entire topic - and be less frustrated by people when they are correct
