Looks like a good deal, but i won't by hydroflask stuff anymore since they aren't dishwasher safe. I'd rather buy Yeti and save the extra work washing. Just my opinion though

Is this leak proof by any chance?

Had this for a year or so, looks cool but total junk; didn't keep drinks cold for long at all. The Stanley Stein is 200% better.
Love my Stanley Stein. Keep 2 in my freezer at all times.

The description says it's dish washer safe, the hydro flask water bottles from costco say dish washer safe too. Just curious if your experience was different? Asking as this is one of my big decisions for buying this

I really wanted to like my hydro flask but the paint started chipping off on the bottom within a year or two. I think it's because I would sometimes wash it in the DW

Get stainless steel color and wash away all you want. I wash these kinds of cups all the time. The only thing that'll happen is you'll get the paint coating to start peeling. I also air dry, so.. do that too.

I've had one for 2-3 years and looks brand new. Works really well for cold drinks for me, not sure why others say it doesn't. Hand washed and air dried only, so maybe that's why?
This is my go to cup for eating ice cream or diy cookies and cream... Vanilla ice cream and just a couple Oreos with a sturdy plastic spoon (non disposable) and it whips just like mcflurry. Can even sit out on counter for a bit without melting quick. I'll check out that yeti though !

Finally, a stainless steel vacuum insulated reusable mug. Was getting expensive purchasing the disposable stainless steel vacuum insulated mugs that weren't reusable.

I had a little used, 12 yr old, 40oz Hydro get a corrosion spot on the inside bottom.
Hydro took it back after they asked for a pic.
I got a new 40oz in a box and they didn't even ask for a receipt

I have this in another color and love it for hot drinks. I changed out the lid for a more secure and insulated one to take on the go with me. The same lids that fit the stainless steel tall cups worked great. I only hand wash because it honestly doesn't take that long compared to waiting for it to run through the dishwasher. Love the cup and works great!

Did you need to return it?
Last time when there was rattling in my hydro, I had to return it before they sent a new one. I had to pay the shipping as well. It may be cheaper to get a new one comparing shipping it back.

These don't seem like mugs for the car. These seem made for the desk top or around the house. Much better versions for the car out there, in fact many of them on deals on here frequently. But I guess if you want to try to jam this thing in the cup holder then feel free.
