Saw a post on Reddit this morning about the deal, went to my store in CT and asked to order since they had none in stock, price showed $2279 with free delivery this coming Tuesday.

FYI, I was able to call in to order!!! When I called I was directed to the phone ordering department of the national call center. Once they verified the instore clearance price (they have access to local inventory I guess), they processed the order and sent me a link to complete payment. You have to remain on the phone with them so they can verify you received the order invoice link and paid. You can schedule instore pickup or home delivery. Sounds like it's delivered by best buy themselves also, not freight. The order also shows up in my account and pricing was done via price match. Also, online when you add to cart it shows a free stand (normally $200.00), the rep stated they can no longer get that item, and even if I ordered via the web at regular price that would place the order in a permanent hold status if that was with it, so wondering if this is why it's an "in store only" clearance price..

It does include a slim flush wall mount in the box though.

There may also be a $50.00 member reward if you are a plus or total member for purchase of any tv 65" or larger, needs activated by clicking. You would have to check your special offers and see if you have it. It just showed up today.

In general most people would see a difference.
Now how much a difference and what the worth of it is is completely personal choice.

If I remember correctly, just the 77 inch and smaller have MLA tech which allows much higher peak brightness. That doesn't come with the 83.

That is correct. For the G3 series, only the 65 and 77 got it.

How did you get them to verify the in-store price? I just tried to call and they said it's normal price

I just told the second rep (the one who processed the order) that it's on clearance for $2279, but it's an instore price via the kiosk and she put me on hold to verify and said, yes I can see that price and went from there... maybe it's not clearance at your local store? Not sure, I would try again.
