Currently typing this on a OP10 Pro that is being held together with a case because an hour in the sun caused the back to warp and the glue to separate.

I've said it several times and I'll continue to say it: this company doesn't make quality phones like they used to. My OP6 is still running perfectly in near mint condition and that 4 year battery performs better than my OP10 on day 1.

I've had my 12R (coming from an 8) for about a week now. So far, I'm very happy with it.

If the cameras' placement design wasn't so hideous... looking like an old coat button. Sigh.

Purchased this in April where it was at the same price. However, I returned it for the Motorola Edge Plus 2023. I didn't like the phone ergonomics, the phone feels unbalanced/uncomfortable with the huge circular camera lens on one side. Additionally, the Moto Edge Plus 2023 is a proper flagship grade with usb 3.0, IP68, wireless charging, desktop mode, and more premium build.
and how much did you get the Moto Edge Plus 2023 for?

Seriously guys, they are very terible. Buying 12R plus was one of my biggest mistake.
I have 5t, it still serves me well after 7years. I want a 5g phone now. 12r is within my budget, I feel it doesn't make any sense to pay 50 bucks extra for a pixel phone since I don't take pictures for fun at all. Also dual physical sim plus esim beats everything in the US market

This phone is really nice! Bestbuy has a display model for the Edge & Edge+ 2023. 6.6" screens and they feel compact compared to my S23U. Definitely my next phone if price hits 250-350.

By the way, you get 2% if you have the addon that starts with an R active when buying from the website.
$370 + tax = $406
- 2% is $8 = $398 exact amount out the door (OTD).

What are we talking about here...out in the Arizona/Texas sun or northern Cali sun? Did you leave it somewhere like in a car and under direct sunlight or what? Need more info here. I think ANY electronic left under direct sunlight in Arizona/Texas will be damaged. I'm amazed it still works if that was the scenario.

The front and back are glass so not sure how the sun could cause either to "warp". The battery maybe expanded from the heat causing the back glass to separate from the aluminum frame? Regardless it sounds like an extremely isolated incident and definitely nothing anyone needs to worry about.

Yeah I'm in AZ but I was walking with it in my hands while listening to music. Reached a stop and was confused why the power button wasn't turning it on. The back panel literally separated from the body with a case on and so the button mold of the case is no longer over the button. You can see the industrial glue dried and separated in the side seam of the body.

I have been doing long walks in the sun for over a decade. This is my first phone to not be able to withstand the heat.

Lol, are you serious? I was going to buy one to mount on my motorcycle for GPS since I don't want my real phone to go flying somewhere. It'll definitely be in the sun for more than an hour.

The battery on the 12R is incredible. Only thing I genuinely dislike about the phone is the curved edge screen.
