Currently typing this on a OP10 Pro that is being held together with a case because an hour in the sun caused the back to warp and the glue to separate.

I've said it several times and I'll continue to say it: this company doesn't make quality phones like they used to. My OP6 is still running perfectly in near mint condition and that 4 year battery performs better than my OP10 on day 1.

I've had my 12R (coming from an 8) for about a week now. So far, I'm very happy with it.

I've used my OP10 Pro multiple times in the Florida sun while 85+ degrees, it is fine. Unless you left this somewhere it gets incredible hot (inside a car, etc) no phone will survive that. And that's the limitation of lithium batteries, not really the phone itself.

Oneplus not only settled, but also folded. They are now rebranded Oppo products.
Oppo, Realme, & Vivo all actually produces more interesting devices than OP. OP is the one that destroyed their entire branding.

The battery on the 12R is incredible. Only thing I genuinely dislike about the phone is the curved edge screen.
I agree on both. But it's been a great phone overall.

Pros: The OnePlus 12R is fantastic. Lots of memory, fluid display, and fast. I've had mine for a few weeks and I'm very impressed. The battery charges (with included chsrger) at super fast speeds, which I've never seen before. The battery also lasts me for days.

Cons:
The IP weather rating isn't the best compared with other flagship lines.

Other: Uses the GBoard keyboard, which is standard, but not as good as Samsung, in my opinion, especially when switching between multiple languages.

Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase at this price. It's better than the Memorial Day sale.

You REALLY get a lot of phone for the money with this deal. SD8G2, 16GB Ram, 256GB storage, 5500mah battery with 80-100w charging...for $380. I have no idea how this isn't among the best selling phones out there. Well, I do, it's because carriers don't sell them in store.

But this is OnePlus getting back to its roots. Just outstanding specs for low-mid range prices.

Couldn't get a coupon popup but I did enter the IMEI from my previous OP phone into their rewards program for ~15 discount. Why a phone company needs a fake-currency rewards program I cannot fathom, but discount's a discount.

and how much did you get the Moto Edge Plus 2023 for?
I got that deal that was posted here about a month ago for $360 from Boost. It was tough decision because the Oneplus 12r is unlocked and had more ram but the Moto Edge Plus 2023 comes with a free year of service which I can use to unlock the phone after one year. I ended it up liking the Moto Edge Plus much better!

Lol, are you serious? I was going to buy one to mount on my motorcycle for GPS since I don't want my real phone to go flying somewhere. It'll definitely be in the sun for more than an hour.
FYI motorcycle vibrations are tough on phone cameras and a Garmin Zumo XT is only $20 more.

What are people's thoughts on this vs a Moto Thinkphone.

I'm rocking an old LG V60 that has served me well but the battery is failing. I don't need the greatest and latest but this one not having wireless charging is disappointing to say the least.

no heaphone jack. no wireless charging. no video out...
those are all features that cost pennies, but add a ton of value to a phone.
phone makers are out of touch and stupid. not to mention designs pretty much suck across the board.
the only good things are the processor and charging speed.
I use none of those features so this is a great phone for me.
