Currently typing this on a OP10 Pro that is being held together with a case because an hour in the sun caused the back to warp and the glue to separate.

I've said it several times and I'll continue to say it: this company doesn't make quality phones like they used to. My OP6 is still running perfectly in near mint condition and that 4 year battery performs better than my OP10 on day 1.

I've had my 12R (coming from an 8) for about a week now. So far, I'm very happy with it.

M S Shopping is 6% CB.
I see under the "details" that is says doesn't work with coupon codes. I am assuming the $30 text message sign up coupon would negate the 6%.

OP6 battery has been the best one I've seen in any device. Even at 6+ year mark it still holds good charge.

I have the 12 and it's a beast. Wife has the 12 R and it's also a beast with a few less features.
Coming from Pixel 6 Pro, it's like an awakening. So many convenience features in the OS that Pixel just felt vanilla with. Most notable "upgrade" was the modem. Pixel modems just suck. Constant signal drops, crappy wifi and terrible bluetooth range. All gone.

Best feature of the OP phones, is clearly the OS. it's just has so many tiny quality of life features and things to tinker with... none of which feel like too much. A bunch of my Google Tensor AI apps copied over and they still work, so Google's AI chip stuff is purely BS.

no heaphone jack. no wireless charging. no video out...
those are all features that cost pennies, but add a ton of value to a phone.
phone makers are out of touch and stupid. not to mention designs pretty much suck across the board.
the only good things are the processor and charging speed.
Other than the wireless charging the added value of those features is a bit overstated. IMO.

How good is OnePlus with Android security patches these days? The last time I had a OnePlus was the 7t which was working well for me, except that the security patches were lagging way behind Google and Samsung. This was an issue as I used my own phone to access work email and my employer required the latest security updates in order to provide access.

Per OP website, they patch flagship phones like 12 and 12R monthly.

Pixel is lower quality build. Install gcam apk which makes the camera better.
This is just not true the majority of phones use the same materials

Recent things that continue to annoy me with their OS: was unable to setup wyze cam v4s just the other day, yet my wife's s23 had no issues and the constant killing of background apps, even when you're flipping back and forth.
Still haven't found a decent screen protector that works with a case, I've even tried several straight from China.

It gets old having to jump through hoops to make things work right that should just work.
This is my fourth OP phone and I'll probably jump on the s24fe when it comes out.

Always the 12R, never the 12 16/512 version
Why? I kind of got my heart set on the 12 16/512.
