They're one of the 3 companies that actually makes their own memory chips

They're a well known brand. This is @ $50 cheaper than Amazon. From what I've read, the Write performance of these decreases over time. If this is going to be the primary drive for your system, it's a safe bet if you can accept the performance hit over time.

Hynix was my "gold" standard in pcie 3.0 nvme drives especially for laptop due to power usage. Their 4.0 drives are very good also. Arguably there are maybe a few slightly better 4.0 options in their price range but I've yet to have a problem with them and usually wait on a sale and just buy more

They are THE manufacturer behind majority of memory chips out there.

Over time, or once you write a certain amount (%) of the total drive?

The decreasing write speeds are not related to capacity.

Thanks for the response.

That thread seems to have a few with the issues of it dropping over time will little usage, but only a few posters. There are posts on page claiming it could be encryption which could cause a ~45% hit, but if that's not the case, it could also be issues with the controller downgrading from 4x to 2x support, if it's that then it is especially concerning, since controller issues could eventually kill the drive.

That's wild since it would allow review drives to be sent out and post good bench marks for the reviews, but then eventually the end user is the one that gets screwed for trusting the reviews they read before hand.
