The creator was the producer of the Castlevania games from SotN through the DS era. He has not lost his touch in that style of game.

It's been in some bundles through various retailers, but this is cheapest I have seen for standalone game.

Great little Castlevania clone. If you like Metroidvania games and especially like the RPG style Castlevania games such as SOTN or the GBA games, give this a try.

Just completed this gem…. Then F.i.s.t., and now I am on the final boss on Metroid Dread. Ranked the 3 so far I would put Bloodstained as #1 and Fist 2 and Metroid Dread a 3. Fist and Dread are super hard games. I hope they make a sequel to this bloodstained.

Same! I've heard rumors. It would be awesome to play another one.

I'd also like another proper 2d Castlevania like SOTN.

I enjoyed this game when I played it but for me I don't know if I'll ever play it again. I replay SOTN quite often and there are things this game does better. The one negative I can say about this game is the music is completely forgettable whereas every song in SOTN is a banger. But for 3 bucks it's worth picking up if you enjoyed SOTN. You can't buy a lunch for that these days.

Really mate, did you not step out onto the ship and hear the Voyage of Promise and rediscover that SOTN love? Can listen to that for hours.

Must play for SOTN fans at this price. Owned it on switch and regretted the purchase due to poor performance. Now I can remedy that with this bargain price. Thanks OP!

I got this game on launch for the switch ... back in 2018 (?) iirc. It was a bumpy launch to begin with, but I'm a HUGE SOTN fan and really enjoyed this title - especially after the huge QOL updates and patches. I've played it a couple of times since then on xbox and pc and I still enjoy it. It's a great looking and fluid game on PC. This is a steal.

Also, I was a backer when they put this game through kickstarter.
It was a VERY bumpy beginning.
I am still pissed @ them for failing to allow us to change our elected version of the game.
I had no clue that the Switch game would be literally game stopping broken, nor that it would have graphics that paled to the other consoles / PC.
I'll play this again when I download it for free.

Loved this game on PS, had to run around and collect everything to platinum it. Well worth a try, and I'm not even a metroidvania player.

Paid almost 10x this for the Switch version, which I played all the way through and beat. Definitely worth this price for the PC version.
