The creator was the producer of the Castlevania games from SotN through the DS era. He has not lost his touch in that style of game.

For any who haven't played it in a while, they've added a bunch of stuff over the years, including 'Classic Mode', which is basically an OG Castlevania clone, and just today released the 'Classic II: Dominique's Curse' DLC, which appears to be a Castlevania II-like.

Fans of metroidvania would love this. SOTN is my absolute favorite, and this is made by the same guy. I bought it when it first came out on Xbox, and literally just installed the other day to pick it up again. Stellar game with beautiful graphics.

Bloodstained has been supported since launch and just received another free update recently. Anyone who likes this game should try out Last Faith.

It's name drop time! Excellent game by the original producer of Castlevania Koji Igarashi. Also, Michiru Yamane is the lead composer. David Hayter, and Robert Belgrade each voice a character in the game.
Also, they really followed through with their Kickstarter promises.

I poured 70 hours into the Switch version. An absolute masterpiece of a game. Pro tip: Change the voice overs to Japanese. Nothing wrong with the English voices, it just sounds better in Japanese.
