If you want a roller cutter, I'd personally recommend ones with Sanisafe type handles that are made to wash in 180F commercial dishwashers thousands of times. The oblong handles of the commercial cutters are also more comfortable to hold than a rounder handle.

Sam's sells a two pack for $20 that are fine on the hot cycle anywhere in a dishwasher, and Katom sells some that look promising for around $2.50 a piece.

The phenolic handle ones like in this deal will develop hairline cracks if washed repeatedly at high temps. It does have a lifetime warranty, but only a 1-year no hassle warranty. It should last forever handwashed.

Idk, I never really liked pizza cutters in general. Awkward to wash and problems with sauce/etc getting stuck in-between the cutter wheel and the arms it attaches to.
I'm with you there.. there's just too much exposed blade, and no great way to store it.

I use an Ulu knife for my pizza cutting.. it's basically a small version of a proper pizza cutter (which is what pizza shops use).

I used to work at Pizza hut and these are far superior than the wheel: https://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-...r=8-7&th=1

Dexter's SaniSafe has a model number of P177A, which I thought was kind of clever. If you are going with a wheel cutter, this is the one to get. It costs somewhat more, but holds up in the dishwasher and holds up to heavy use. In fact, it's probably overkill for household use. If you don't intentionally abuse it, you'll never need to buy another one.

I use the Dexter it because I have it, but a knife works just as well and is more easily cleaned. Just remember with a knife, measure twice before cutting once.

The Dexter-Russell ones are exceptional (actually almost everything they make is good). I probably would have never figured out that the part number almost looks like PIZZA had you not said it.

The ones Sam's sells appear very similar and carry independent certification (NSF) to withstand commercial food grade work in a sanitary manner, and they are 2 for $20.

It is so beefy and thick, that cutting even a 8" pizza makes you want to sing in Italian. It's so tick that it requires a separate drawer.

According to Amazon, I've ordered this 3x. Ordered another one. Never had an issue with this, but my wife and I keep leaving the cutter in the box and then throwing the box out

Best pizza cutter I've ever had. Had for 2 years, still very sharp. No blade wobble. It gets washed in the dish washer after every use.
