Don't knock it. Sometimes you don't have time and other times you don't want to boil a whole package or use the stove for half a box. This is the cheapest I've seen it and it is worth it.

Shrinkflation. I remember when you used to get a pound of dried pasta at a time. It's down to 7oz now. 🤣

I guess the market for this item is for a single people who work at a job that has a microwave. I guess you bring a can of tomato sauce with you or something too? 😂 I'm just imagining someone microwaving the pasta and eating it bare. Like a late stage apocalypse meal.

We are building back better! Lol actually came here to say the same thing 7oz I never recalled such a small size pouch for this in the past and I have ordered them in the past. Since I stopped using microwaves I stopped buying this stuff but was tempted to just heat up on the stove with the sauce at home for a quick Italian fix.

These are great for when I'm at work. I can't boil water on the airplane. But I can throw one of these pouches in hot coffee water. Add a little bit of sauce or dressing and I have a nice warm lunch that could have lived in my suitcase for a week or two without having to be kept cold.

I lost my home in a hurricane and have no stove or any way to boil noodles. I'm in a tent in my yard!

For anyone coming across this thread later on and curious like I was -- I bought a box

The convenience is absolutely there. Rip the bag, 60 seconds in a microwave, done. No dishes, no boiling, no waiting. For about a $1.25 per pouch, it's not bag.
If you're not too-good for the microwavable Minute-Rice cups ($2 for 2 microwavable cups), you can expect about the same. It's a convenience item and I would say it tasted like "warmed up leftover pasta" to me. The texture was a bit off, which might be my fault since it isn't clear how much of the top tab you need to tear off (full thing? a little to vent? instructions aren't clear)

I wouldn't make it for dinner, but if you're looking for a quick snack or a quick side to go along with your dinner/lunch, it's definitely convenient. I probably wouldn't pay the $2/bag of the normal price, but $1.50 is a good price on it. Pouch was pretty generous, probably enough for 2 people
