The one star review in spanish for the jbl is very detailed. Says unit is very slow and dust gets inside the unit screen.

Any of these have real buttons ? I have JVC 560 BT and no buttons , never again . Trying to navigate a small touch screen while driving is very difficult. Volume and mute with buttons are a must to me . My vehicle doesn't have steering wheel controls so it's only touch screen . No mute in CarPlay

I would like to buy that JBL but I dont understand how to install it?

My mount brackets go on the side of the unit, then screw into my car. But the screen is in the way of screwing the unit into my car. Is the screen detachable or something?

Nakamichi does not have clear instructions what wire harness to buy so everything works. Still trying to figure it out. It will be trial and error

That JBL is one of these clones that you can get from eBay/Amazon for $50-80: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_..._PrefLoc=3

They make units for specfic cars that have custom bezels and mounting brackets.

For example, here's one for a Honda Civic that includes the appropriate bracket and wiring harness for plug and play: https://www.ebay.com/itm/196406913304

These are called 16 pin Android stereos. They all have the same wiring.

Harnesses are car specific so you want to search the model of vehicle that you have and what features it has, like steering wheel controls, etc.

Then you look at the user manual for that model and look at the wiring diagram.

I searched the model listed by OP and got the manual to show up pretty quick. NAM3510-M7

Few years ago I wanted to swap the OEM radio of an old 2002 Mercedes W211 with something like this. After long and painful research I ended up freezing the project as some cars do have optical bus that connects the radio to the speakers (or pretty much everything which is part of the entertainment system). The issue is that these aftermarket units don't talk to such optical bus. If you swap the OEM for such cars with optical bus you need to use whatever adapter and you will loose sound quality. Sharing my 2c if anyone is willing to do a deeper research before pulling the trigger on this one.

dont buy touch buttons unit, high chance it might go bad in the future. Go with physical buttons.
