Probably because everyone does not have a doorbell or maybe they want it at a different door that does not have existing wiring.

Does the ring pro works with Google or smartthings? Don't have any smart doorbell was thinking to get blink that's really cheap and won't need another app as I never had any ring, but seems much better than the blink

There are lots of battery ones…you don't have to get the wired pro 2.

The wired pro 2 is just the best image and best motion sensing technology with the greatest discount.

I'm replacing 2 of my pro version 1 for this reason.

How is the stick up cam? If the battery lasts 6 months I'll give it a go I guess but it'd be annoying having to charge that too often
