All fun and games until you're constantly lifting and setting aside bins to access the lower ones…
Note that this doesn't come with bins. It says it is designed for 27 gallon bins, which is a common size, but I know that the two brands I own have different dimensions, so it's not clear to me if mine will be the right width.

Edit: I measured my costco greenmade 27 gallon bins and they are just over 20 inches wide. The home depot HDX ones I have are 19 1/2 inches wide so they are likely incompatible.
Bah, bins already stack nicely on their own, just keep one you actually access more than once a month on top and heaviest ones on bottom.

I'd rather spend $135 on more bins!

Thanks. Was looking for some solution to keep bins accessible in the garage.

Says it's for 27 gallon bins. Obviously the Costco site says "Designed Specifically for Costco 27 Gallon Bins" but nothing is mentioned on the Saferacks site.

Does anyone know if bins from Home Depot will also fit? Had to get a few of those when Costco was OOS.

I take it that this is just for the rack and does not include the 10 storage bins pictured?
I missed the 6-pack of 15 gallon totes for $45 the other day and would really like to jump on another one of those deals to help spruce up my garage.

as another option, walmart still has the wire rack 4-shelf for $39 each. I think they are maybe 5ft tall though

Not a deal without the bins.

Also concerned that buying bins would be hit or miss to fit these racks.

I'd bet they work with both, I own both bins (accident) I prefer the home Depot bins as they are more comfortable for me to carry when I need to move them for some reason. But the difference is really in the lid for the most part, the important dimensions for this rack to work don't impact the differences in the bins IMO.

+1 to the OP, my kind of Costco shopper, the Costco way is only worth so much peace of mind when dealing with metal things like this that are not prone to breaking/returns

10% off and free shipping for me, but I did get charged CA sales tax. Still a good deal since my Costco hasn't had them in store.

Looking at their return policies and, if returned within 30 days, they will refund you 100% of what you paid BUT they will deduct their included outbound shipping costs. Also, you will be responsible to pay for the return shipping. I also noticed they don't list the material it is made from, nor do they give dimensions or a weight rating. Hard pass.

From the Q&A and instruction manual:
"Each bin rack is 23" W x 31" D x 68" H. Side-by-side they are 46" W x 31" D x 68" H"
Weight rating is 50 pounds per bin.

Anyone know of racks like these that load from the side (long side vs short side)? Looking for under stair storage and won't have room to slide them out using these ones.

I fail to understand why you wouldn't just buy oversized/larger wire racks - and just use half of the provided shelves to balance the structural stability and storage bin capacity.

This feels like a solution in search of a problem.

IMO, the most cost effective storage bin wire rack solution is to hack/chain multiple wire racks together - (for example) turning 2 rack kits into a 3-wide span rack - which gives you even more value for money. You do this by repurposing some of the provided shelves to join the two racks together (putting shelves that join the right-side of one rack, to the left-side of the other). You're left with 3 rack spans - just with fewer shelves, which is fine since you're storing oversized storage bins and didn't need all of the shelves anyway

I built two racks like this myself. Probably cost me $50 in materials & each holds 9 bins. But I can see the value in just buying this deal to make it easier.
