Did they fix the hinge issue? The hinge tightens up until it cracks the screen when closing. I have an older laptop with this issue.

I agree with hinge issue. My laptop screen broke due to hinge issue. Not buying dell again. My 2010 laptop hinges are great. The new ones I bought 3 years ago broke.

I wish it was a touch screen, but even then it seems like a pretty solid deal. Jumped in on this with my siblings as a Father's Day gift for my dad who just uses a laptop here and there. This should be great for his needs. I split the total cost of $482 after tax between both my AMEX Business Platinum, which has a semi annual $200 Dell statement credit, and my wife's Amex platinum which was a $50 off AMEX offer right now. Hopefully it all works out and this will be a hell of a deal

Can anyone confirm if this youtube video describes this laptop far as being able to upgrade the ram and hard drives (at the 7 minute 25 second mark and onwards)

I feel kind of stupid asking this Smilie because it says right in the youtube description "Dell Inspiron 15 3520 " which is same as the slickdeals title for this post "Dell Inspiron 15 3520"... but the youtube video also mentions it's for the year 2023 model, no idea if the slickdeals link goes to the 2024 model and if so if the 2024 and 2023 models are the same for upgrade purposes?

Dell Inspirons (except the 2 in 1 touch version) are crap and you will regret it. I recommend that you buy the Inspiron 2 in 1 touch used from ebay or a Best Buy Open box.

The model is what matters, not the year. It should be the same.
