Here is the response of Motorola to unlock of Tracfone Moto G Power 5G 2024 (XT2415V) in the Lenovo Forum. Basically, it states that Tracfone is only one that can solve the problem.

"Thank you for reaching out. I have received your IMEI via PM and I was able to check into this further. Tracfone, and many other carriers are now using Remote Unlock on some devices, this allows the carrier to unlock your device without the need for an unlock code. Your device uses this remote unlock method.

Since Tracfone stated the phone would be unlocked after 24 hours I would wait until that time has elapsed then try inserting a SIM (not a Tracfone SIM) in the device to see if it works. If it doesn't you may need to reach back out to Tracfone to see if something needs to be updated in their system to allow the unlock.

Unfortunately, Tracfone is the only one that can help with this concern. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Becky"

Better to just order it online at Straight Talk website then. You can get 2 of them for $75 and also get around $7 back from cash back shopping site.

On paper, it might look good... I had this phone - it was, HANDS DOWN, the worst phone I've ever used. Bad screen. Bad CPU. Glitchy OS. Slow and just awful. Unless its your only option, skip it!

The only good thing I can say about it is that the fingerprint reader being embedded into the power button was cool, and that worked quickly and accurately most of the time. Seriously HATED this phone!
Currently using 2023 Stylus from Metro and everything seems very smooth for me, at $40 I don't think you can you can find a better phone for this price range lol (Samsung phones are even worse). The only down side is I have to wait 6m/1y to unlock (bought before policy changed but idk if I have to wait 6m/1y)

This 2024 phone has a worst cpu than the 2023 Moto Stylus that was about the same deal price. And the display might be a bit worst too?
i don't think you can see any differences between two 2 displays lol, 2024 cpu is just slightly lower (according to benchmark from google)

Bro, are you tech savvvy? It cant be farking worse than my iphone se og or the 2gb zte blade z max i still own and use, there is no way its gonna dissapoint me since i dont expect much on a 50usd phone to begin with, yet, your words scare me. I can activate dev mode or root it and it would be blazing fast,no way 8gb motorolla is bad
You probably can't root this phone as bootloader is locked forever

I also have this phone, and I'm quite impressed. The 120hz screen and 8g RAM work pretty fast and smooth. The downside is that the screen is not OLED, so the color is bland, and there are a few bugs with apps. For this price, definitely worth it.

If it's anything like thinkphone it's fast or fast enough unless it has slower internal storage.

I like LCD screen more it's more durable than OLED screen. For $75 you can get 2024 Stylus from Metro it has same specs from 2023 but has OLED screen (but 1 year wait for unlock tho)

Tax is dependent on whatever state you live in & charges will vary. $2.34 for me but a lot more for states with higher cell phone fees as well as sales tax.

LCD screen is way better than OLED.
LCD does not have eye hurting PWM flicker.

SE3 was $49 plus required ST service plan, but same as this deal it had to be activated in Walmart.
There's a long SD thread about it.
You mean the one a few months ago?

Yes, over the BF holiday same issues with activation at Walmart - only limited number of stores could activate, and many screwed it up by not activating correctly as required by deal.

Wait for unlock

ST phone will only work with ST service -- you can "rebrand" the phone by asking TF CS but that will probably screw with the unlock if you alrdy activated the phone on ST

If its a new unused phone (IMEI never activated) then you can rebrand it first & activate it on TF/ST/Total carrier you want to start the unlock timer. I bought a new Pixel 6a from Total (just the phone without plan) and had TF CS rebrand & activate on TF plan -- no problem unlocking it after 60 days
Good to know!
I have an existing TF plan/phone, if I rebrand the Moto G and pair my current plan with it, does that count as an activation to start the 60 days?
