Here is the response of Motorola to unlock of Tracfone Moto G Power 5G 2024 (XT2415V) in the Lenovo Forum. Basically, it states that Tracfone is only one that can solve the problem.

"Thank you for reaching out. I have received your IMEI via PM and I was able to check into this further. Tracfone, and many other carriers are now using Remote Unlock on some devices, this allows the carrier to unlock your device without the need for an unlock code. Your device uses this remote unlock method.

Since Tracfone stated the phone would be unlocked after 24 hours I would wait until that time has elapsed then try inserting a SIM (not a Tracfone SIM) in the device to see if it works. If it doesn't you may need to reach back out to Tracfone to see if something needs to be updated in their system to allow the unlock.

Unfortunately, Tracfone is the only one that can help with this concern. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Becky"

Better to just order it online at Straight Talk website then. You can get 2 of them for $75 and also get around $7 back from cash back shopping site.

That's not bad. I'm in Topeka, KS and the total price would be $50.90 . I didn't buy one. I have too many phones already, and this one is very similar in specs to my Metro Moto G Stylus 5G 2023.
Buy 2 and the price will come down.

Thanks, have way too many phones - currently waiting on 2 iPhone 11's & this new one to unlock 😁
BTW there's just the usual Motorola bootscreen on this so might be easier to sell without TF branding once it's unlocked.

Not that I needed another either but I put an order in for one. Skipped the 2023 because it lacked ois and the 2022 stylus 5g is still doing fine.

Figure this new one will get updates a little longer and I'll put it to use after a few months or so if it's not noticeably worse than the 2022. I am hopeful the mediatek in this one is usable but don't have high hopes. If it isn't better I'll just hold onto it for a spare.

The only other reason I went for it is I don't want OLED. Everyone thinks it's better, but it gives me eye strain after a while, so it'll be good to have a spare on hand that has LCD and 3yrs of security updates, even though Moto is still quite slow to actually push them out.

At the Straight Talk website, there was a Motto G Power 5G 2024 for free (value $149.99) if I sign up for unlimited silver plan for $45/month. Can I just not continue the plan after one month by not paying for the future months? I just need the device to access some apps with Wi-Fi. Thank you

I have the phones listed below (and a bunch of functioning but obsolete non-LTE phones). I'm currently using the S24 and the Nord N30. The others are "spare". I'm forcing myself to quit buying more spare phones no matter how good a deal they are, because by the time I actually need to use one it probably will be obsolete technology wise or software wise.

Walked into my local wm where the site showed phone is available for pickup. Everything was messy in the locked glass cabinet. I didn't see the phone and the price tag for it $149. Workers were busy BSing with each other. I couldn't get anyone to help me. Went to the phone shelf twice. Zero attention. Said F them all and left. I have patience for their BS

Why not place another, call and ask for adjustment?

Does this have NFC?
Motorola website and many others confirm it is the first moto G phone with NFC and google pay support. Walmart, straightalk and tracfone websites do not mention NFC at all.
