Here is the response of Motorola to unlock of Tracfone Moto G Power 5G 2024 (XT2415V) in the Lenovo Forum. Basically, it states that Tracfone is only one that can solve the problem.

"Thank you for reaching out. I have received your IMEI via PM and I was able to check into this further. Tracfone, and many other carriers are now using Remote Unlock on some devices, this allows the carrier to unlock your device without the need for an unlock code. Your device uses this remote unlock method.

Since Tracfone stated the phone would be unlocked after 24 hours I would wait until that time has elapsed then try inserting a SIM (not a Tracfone SIM) in the device to see if it works. If it doesn't you may need to reach back out to Tracfone to see if something needs to be updated in their system to allow the unlock.

Unfortunately, Tracfone is the only one that can help with this concern. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Becky"

Better to just order it online at Straight Talk website then. You can get 2 of them for $75 and also get around $7 back from cash back shopping site.

does anyone know how you can cancel the order ? I placed the order for 1 by mistake before someone mentioned its cheaper to get 2. Str8talk says they cant cancel once the order is placed and my only recourse is to refusse delivery. True?
wait till it's delivered and activated then you can order a 2nd at discounted price (you just add a line to your account)

Why not place another, call and ask for adjustment?
I already placed the 2nd order. I just need to cancel the 1st order which they say they cannot do

You don't need to call, you go to unlock website, put in required info & they send you the codes & instructions to unlock.
Is this the website?
I found it in the other thread. Thanks.

Keep checking back - they went out of stock on 10th & restocked so will restock again since deal doesn't expire till 9/8, there's plenty of time to get one.
Got it... looks to be back in stock.

This is probably a dumb question, but after ordering from ST and using the first month, do you need to cancel the service and wait another 30 days for unlocking? I see some saying just don't pay the second month, but didn't know if I'd get a million emails telling me to pay up.

suggestion - read the info at beginning of thread and at least the first few pages of thread, it's especially helpful for those that don't know how Straight Talk works

1st rule of Slickdeals: always read the Featured Comments if there is any.

To answer to your question:
- You don't need to cancel your service IF you didn't select auto pay
- IF you did select autopay (which save you $2.5), you have to cancel the autopay to prevent from getting charged the next month, then you're good to go

Thanks! I actually read every post in the thread and the closest thing I could find was "Don't pay for 2nd mo and let the phone sit". I couldn't find anything about the billing if it would just cancel itself like a pay-as-you-go of if ST would send Vinny to break my knee caps for not paying the second month.

In for one. Once unlocked it should be a great travel phone with eSIM capabilities!

Thanks, have way too many phones - currently waiting on 2 iPhone 11's & this new one to unlock 😁
BTW there's just the usual Motorola bootscreen on this so might be easier to sell without TF branding once it's unlocked.
Did you buy iP11 from Total or Metro?

For Walmart you need to ask for the $45 plan for the phone to be free Smilie

That's because the deal is only available in-store with activation at Walmart.
Order online from Straight Talk website, much simpler.
