Here is the response of Motorola to unlock of Tracfone Moto G Power 5G 2024 (XT2415V) in the Lenovo Forum. Basically, it states that Tracfone is only one that can solve the problem.

"Thank you for reaching out. I have received your IMEI via PM and I was able to check into this further. Tracfone, and many other carriers are now using Remote Unlock on some devices, this allows the carrier to unlock your device without the need for an unlock code. Your device uses this remote unlock method.

Since Tracfone stated the phone would be unlocked after 24 hours I would wait until that time has elapsed then try inserting a SIM (not a Tracfone SIM) in the device to see if it works. If it doesn't you may need to reach back out to Tracfone to see if something needs to be updated in their system to allow the unlock.

Unfortunately, Tracfone is the only one that can help with this concern. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Becky"

Better to just order it online at Straight Talk website then. You can get 2 of them for $75 and also get around $7 back from cash back shopping site.

G Stylus 5G 2023 (XT2315-1)The model name is also in the AT&T Whitelist

I got Tracfone Stylus 5G 2021 and Metro Stylus 5G 2023 both IMEI passed the ATT checks.
My metro unlocked Stylus 5G 2023 does not pass the ATT check. XT2315-1 and it is on the accepted list.

In which case I would argue that and force them to whitelist it. It has to be possible. Our old buddy on reddit was able to do it when sprint was around.

You're correct. I did get $75 but then it changed to $82 (included tax) and at final check out when I put it in my details, it came out to $98. Now I gotta investigate where I/they went wrong.
I had the same issue where mine subtotaled at 75 then when I paid it went to 90 plus tax and 99. I called and wasted an hour to have the price adjusted with no fix saying I have to mail them back for a refund and reorder then they backordered and still have not shipped! Pretty much bait and switch.

That's a bummer, this is the 2nd time I had problems with the Tracfone company (Total Wireless was the 1st one) Honestly, I'm not gonna even waste my time trying to get a refund. As many stated before, the plan is non-refundable and the phones were free, so there's nothing to return in order to get a refund.

My Moto G Stylus 5G 2023 did not pass the AT&T IMEI checker.

So I listed it as:

For T-Mobile & Verizon only. Not for AT&T.

I'm befuddled why some of these did pass the AT&T IMEI checker & some didn't.

Yes, it's strange. My Metro Moto G Stylus 5G 2023, bought and activated in mid-April 2024 passes the AT&T IMEI Checker, while your phone and Hodaddy's phone don't. The only difference is that mine is newer, made on 2/29/2024.

I just did a test order of a Samsung A03s through my Total Wireless account. Looking at the breakdown of the charges might explain the unexpected total of your order.
* The A03s with a price of $49.99 is FREE if ordered with a Plan of $50 or $60. I selected the $50 Plan.
* SInce I already have two other active phones in the account, the $50 Plan is discounted down to $25.
* Sales tax rate for my location is 9.35%.
* Since the phone is supposed to be FREE, I didn't expect to see any sales tax charge on the phone.
* I expeced about $3.xx taxes & fees on the Plan, making the total amount around $28.xx ($25 + $3.xx), but it came out to be at $32.94.
* I expanded all the charges and the mystery became clear. They charged sales tax ($4.67) on the $49.99 value of the phone even though it's FREE.

Thank you for the breakdown. I think I must have ordered when the site was glitching for a few hours. Here's how my order pages looked. As you can see, I did not get a discount on the 2nd line.

Just for shizz and giggles, I did talk to CS and they told me that I cannot send screenshots of my order and I'd have to call in to verify and prove that I was overcharged/didn't get the discount

Mine sure didn't. When did you do the checks? I just did mine a couple of days ago.

I just tried 4 of the phones again using the imei checker. This time the Stylus 2021 proved compatible, the one Stylus 2023 that is still locked was compatible, the unlocked 2023 is not. The locked Power 2024 was also not compatible.

I'm using the IMEI check on this page: https://www.att.com/buy/byod/iden...sByod=true

Think maybe that check is moody. Confused

1. If the same IMEI didn't pass before but now passes, it's possbile that AT&T added its IMEI to their database (that happened with my Metro A54). I haven't had an IMEI that passed before but now doesn't.
2. When were your unlocked and locked Moto G Stylus 5G 2023 made? Somehow the older ones (bought and activated last year) don't pass the AT&T Checker.

The charge on your CC is literally the acknowledgement you are looking for.
I was charged the day after I placed my order. A couple of days later, I got an email stating it was backordered. A couple days after that, I got an email stating my order had finally shipped when in reality all that had happened was a label was created.

You give this dumpster fire of a company far too much credit.

I've had great experience with this company. They are giving away a free $300 phone after all.
Sorry that you missed out!!

When the email says "label was created", that means the phone has been packaged and labeled for UPS to pick up. If you think that's not truthful, what's your definition of SHIPPED?

I got the shipment email Wednesday and still hasn't shown any tracking activity. I don't believe it was actually Boxed up and ready
