What's the procedure to do unlock? mine is still locked after 60. I saw Network lock is Locked in the settings.
Join the angry mob. My Moto Power phone from ST passed the 60 days mark on Saturday and yet, the phone is still network locked.

I think there must be a command or something to do unlocking. Like my moto g stylus 5g phone from MetroPCS, when it is time to do unlocking, the link "permanent unlock" appears in the settings and I click on it to unlock the phone. For Straight Talk, we just wait for the status to change, that is weird don't you think. From my past experience I always click on the link or button under the Settings to unlock my phone. For straight talk phone, just wait for the status to change to Unlock that is kind of weird.

Has anyone that got in on this deal been able to have their phone unlocked? Or are we all on the same boat, "Locked"?
I do realize that if there are some fortunate ones among us that do have their phones unlocked, they probably don't have any interest checking this thread and confirming my question.
I bought 2 of these phones from Straight Talk and activated both on 6/20/24. As of 8/25/24 the 2 phones are stilled "locked" to Straight Talk network. I spend over an hour with their unlock department yesterday without unlocking any of the phone.
I went to FCC this morning and file 2 separate complaints. I hope that will move Straight Talk into resolving this issue.

Not at all weird, Moto G Pure was the same w/Assurance on their plans. All happened automatically, no intervention needed on the customer's part.

Straight Talk just f'ed this up, plain and simple.

It's August 26 now. Not June.

Had purchased with Amex. I was still able to dispute the charge (purchase date 14th June). Will post here what happens.

Straight Talk gave me the same run around as other posts.

Update as of 9/8: switched on the phone. Status changed to unlocked within 10 mins. Chatted with Amex and cancelled the dispute. Cheers

I have a dormant TF account with 1 active line that expires next year, was thinking about replacing that line with one of the locked phones, may be that will trigger the unlocking process or screw things further.
Already tried the TF SIM card from that line and the locked phone works, being a TF branded is not surprise.

I just called Straight Talk today and asked them why my phone is not unlocked. They told me my phone was eligible for unlock and install the SIM, then restart the phone and wait for a few hours for unlock. That's it. I did what they said, but still in Locked state. Both SIM cards were already installed from day 1.

I put Tracfone Sim card in the locked ST Moto Power because the original ST sim doesn't work any more after 30 days of inactive service. TF card works without any issue and can get "unlock is ready" text message. The phone's IMEI is automatically updated in my TF account. So the unlock eligibility is tied to IMEI not phone service. Once meeting unlocking criteria, the phone stays eligible for ever. TF's Unlocking Department handles unlocking for TF and its family phones (Straight Talk, Total Wireless, Net10, Simple Mobile, Page Plus etc.)

Seems like a lot of people whose phone is still locked took out the original ST SIM at some point. Maybe the SIM has to be in the phone for 60 days? I just know I left both SIMs in my phones & they both unlocked.

The unlock portal (tfwunlockpolicy.com) and Unlocking Dept (1-888-442-5102) that everyone is dealing with for locked ST phone is Tracfone Unlocking dept. ST is TF subsidiary company and provides sale and customer support. Technical and unlocking support is handled by TF. We should file complaint about TF not ST on unlocking issue. See the attachment for details.
