Just got mine from order on ST website. Activated online to start the clock but haven't even turned on the phone or put the sim card in. Might wait a couple of weeks for any updates in this thread.
Sim should already be in phone.

Since you later posted you activated online just start the waiting game.

I was just told to turn the phone off for at least 2 hours and then check it. 🤣 Customer service is a joke (but not funny!)
I was told same thing, let me know if it works out for you, I switched off for now, will check tomorrow.

Please read -

ST has offered NO solution to unlock situation yet.
All the suggestions from support so far are useless, don't waste your time.

Just received a call back (second one) due to BBB and FCC complaint.

They went through the same turn off, turn on, factory reset... then, they started blaming Motorola. Nothing other than the "escalation" comments.

Asked for a refund, said they are unable to do so.

That's depressing.

This model is also sold on TF website but I haven't read of any unlock problems, maybe it's still too new to hit the 60 day mark? Will be interesting if those unlock & these don't.

The whole of this deal is depressing. All ST can put out is more and more BS.

I filed both a FCC and BBB claim 2 days ago and received a call today from a "manager" with Straight talk in response to the BBB claim. I was advised the Unlocking instance is a "known issue" with this model and it's being investigated. I was sent an email advising I would be updated when more info is available. I also have the Moto G Stylus 5G 2024 from Total that is set to unlock in a week or so - I asked the manager if they were affiliated with Total and he advised yes. I asked if there were any known unlocking issues with that phone model and was advised no; however, I'm not too confident with that reply.

Total, Tracfone and Straight Talk are all divisions of the same company (owned by VZ) with the same unlock policy and use the same phones (check the sims, all say TFW). They "should" all unlock the same way.
Since some of the ST branded have auto unlocked it's possible some of the others will too.

Support just needs to figure out how to consistently auto unlock ALL of them as stated in their online unlock policy.

All the 2024 models have the remote unlocking now no codes to enter.

Wouldn't doubt if Stylus 2024 has issues since its similar Motorola. Unless they messed something up with updated unlock policy that took effect in July.

Hopefully my (2) Total Samsung A54 unlocks next month they was activate in July with updated unlock policy.

Is this a loss now considering it is over 2 weeks since the unlocking mayhem?

Where do you do the BBB complaint?

Recent new phone discounts have all required plan purchase so July 2024 unlock policy changes shouldn't be an issue.

New Moto Stylus, Moto G Play and Moto Razr should all auto unlock but I haven't read of anyone complaining yet - may still be too soon.

Note - SD thread for Total Moto Stylus started 6/26 so with a few days for delivery should hit 60 days at anytime. Could get very interesting if they don't figure out how to fix unlock problem soon, FCC will be getting a LOT more complaints.

Yes, I don't think it will get fixed anytime soon.

Google Better Business Bureau... but, honestly, no need to do both FCC and BBB. It is the same process.
