The promotion did not specify the year needs to be based on one Earth year. A year on Mercury is 88 days.

Just want to highlight the following paragraph in the post for everyone else under 100 years old (13 or older):
"Customers ages 13 and up can get a free Root Beer Float every year on their birthday, plus more exclusive deals on A&W's All-American Food like Burgers and Cheese Curds, by joining Rooty's Mug Club at awrestaurants.com/100 [awrestaurants.com]."

They use all cane sugar, no caffeine and no preservatives in their root beer. They mix it fresh in store.

Anyone still alive at that age probably isn't consuming root beer floats. Maybe a root beer float enema...
my great grandpa would have, idk if he would have done it every week / but he was probably the exception than the rule

he had some firsts in late age / at 99 had his first automotive accident, well he was the victim guy ran a red light and was t-boned

good thing the guy hit the driver side because my great grandma was in the passenger side/ ggpa would have probably murdered him - he was fine after the accident

pretty much was fine entire time until a common flu catch is what did him in.

well technically they were great great grandparents in the end, had 3 of them (one side of the family tends to live long)

Disagree. If 100, you get do do whatever you feel up to at that point. If you know someone who has made it and still has their wits about them, go buy them whatever food they want in exchange for time/stories together if they are willing. Hey, props to A&W for going with 100 vs 105! LOL
I think what they mean is it's unlikely someone got to 100 consuming products such as these. With what I consumed as a child I'll be lucky to live to 50.

Are you trying to take him with you?
Yes, because obviously any small child who consumes a small sugary beverage once per week does not have long to live. What a bizarre world you must live in.

If that's what they meant, then they are incorrect. The first half of their lifetime basically predates the modern concept of what is healthy, so it's quite unlikely they spent their formative years in the 1920s and 1930s subsisting on broccoli and kale. These were they days when sodas were advertised as medicine. I will wager you that close to100% of centenarians have consumed more than a few sugary beverages in their lifetimes..
