You got me interested in this set for something cheap at work.
Thank you and TU.

Same seller on eBay for $70.99 though? Was looking for the case.

Nice set, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure these trays are for toughsystem 1.0. If that's true, they might fit in toughsystem 2.0 drawers.

Same set at same price on $74.99 CPO's own site. [cpooutlets.com] or cheaper $70.99 CPO on eBay [ebay.com]
Set has it's weak points.
6point Standard & Deep Sockets with skips at 5.5mm 20mm & 23mm. The SAE stuff drops off at 1 inch & there are only 8 combination wrenches.
Worst thing I can say about the set would be that it is alot harder to warranty DeWalt than brands with store support like Husky, Kobalt, GearWrench, Harbor Freight or even Craftsman.

Can anyone comment on the tool quality? I don't have much faith in Stanley/Black Decker as a company.

The more common version of this set is sold w/ the Toughsystem 2.0 case (DWMT45226H) "H" designation for hardcase. Not sure if there are differences or incapabilities in the trays. These may well be older versions on the trays. Can't trust any of the stock photos to be accurate.

I bought this set on sale late last year from CPO. No case. Toughsystem 1.0 trays. The trays themself fit in my Toughsystem 2.0 case, but do not fit in the yellow drawers. Overall its a good set. You're getting a lot of socket for your money, especially the big ol deep ones. Ratchets feel fine, it's a dewalt handtool, nothing fancy. Very happy with what you get for the money though.

Definitely a deal for the money. Taiwanese steel, not much filler. Ratchet handles are just ok, but a 1/2" Snap-on handle costs as much as this whole set. There have been a lot of complaints about cracked trays from shipping, I had to order two sets to make one complete set

Appears CPO doing something weird selling the case separate. This set (DWMT45430H) normally comes w/ the Toughsystem 2.0 case that sells for $70 to $100.

FYI, Stanley B&D owns Craftsman now

I almost bought one of these dewalt sets a couple months back, but someone tipped me onto a project farm YouTube review… and they were DISAPPOINTING. Check out his review if you think you care, otherwise it's a great deal!

That is correct and at present most Craftsman tools are low quality Chinese made. They at least are easy to warranty at Ace Hardware or Lowe's.

This is a solid set. Got one last year. I've even used some sockets on a dcf891. Yes I know chrome is not meant for impact duty.

this is the insane frontpage deal from 6 months ago or something, maybe a few dollars higher but not much higher. It's normally a 120 dollar set and that's a sale price. I think original msrp 200-230 range, but it's older 5 degree ratchet stuff (I think for a deal like this, 5 degree is just fine)
