I got the deal to show up when nI put in a iPhone 7, but it said only applies tto Magenta and Magenta max plans. I have OnePlus plan still. So still can't qualify.
Definitely limited by the rate plan.
Tried at a Costco store without luck. The rep said that he's not able to process it until the promo shows up on my account.
Tried online on T-mobile.com & received the "We're sorry, we can't accept your trade-in due to the condition of the device." error. Tried trading in iPhone SE, 6s, 6s Plus - and received the same error each time
Will try a local T-Mobile store tomorrow.

Always act put out by dealing with customer service, and you will get a bill credit. This is my experience 100% of the time.
