Agree. The drill in the $129 combo also has a metal chuck.
I have the OLD version of the OP sub compact from Hitachi before it rebranded. Honestly can't say enough good things about this pair of tools or the batteries. Have had it at least 10-12 years now, had one in 4 batteries fail during that time which given how abusive I am towards this tool set (left outside for weeks at least once or twice lol) is impressive.
