Main drawback : the compressor is vertical . Causes vibrations each time compressor turnson and off .
The Midea compressor rests horizontally , no vibrations when compressor kicks in and out . The Midea has all controls in front , no need for remote or app . Remote easier to use .
I have both.

Is it loud?
It is just kinda surprisingly tall so be aware of that. Aesthetically though it looks a bit nicer than some I think and if you really turn it on high it puts out a lot of air.
We have a 12kbtu dual hose midea and it works nice too. But it is shorter and wider and the air blows horizontally. I still dont know what to think about the hose-in-hose style dual hose. It is cleaner looking but not that flexible.
My only gripe with the unit is the included window adapter kit... it's horrible. It's just a thin piece of plastic that doesn't fully seal the window as is has tiny openings on the sides. I would get some additional insulation foam and make another barrier behind it to create a better seal and offer some heat insulation from the outside.
