Own one going on 3rd year. For this price I might rebuy knowing I am buying something I will have to toss and replace in 2 - 3 years. Similar to cheap grills you get what you pay for. Nothing wrong with them as long as you are going in educated. The problem is the quality of the steel. It warps too easily and rusts too easily in the off season. Asked previous blackstone owners how they keep the rust off and they looked at me funny like what rust. End of year 1 put some noodles on grill while on low and warped. Knowing this can happen changing from hot to cold but I had it on low. Once it happened now it happens way too often. As far as the rust, buy a good sander and 40 grit paper. The rest of the griddle has held up fine. FYI I season it x5 at beginning of season and wipe a light clean coat of oil after each use.

Don't discount the Sam's club warranty on these...
At 3 years in, the angle iron welds let go on my 5 burner. Called Sam's, they sent a freight company to pick it up, and sent the refund to my credit card.

I bought one about a year ago, it's been great. Never had an issue with warping, then again I live in the desert.
Also no rust issues.
I am in a Facebook group, and trust me, there are plenty of posts about Blackstones getting rusted and warping.
If you start it slow, that helps with the warping.
I used Blackstone conditioner after each cook and use an orange silicon mat, to prevent rust.
It's fun, and it's the ultimate breakfast machine

Extended warranty? Or basic?
