I just visited a Specialized store and purchased a Mode helmet in Matte White Mountains color, expecting to pay the online sale price of $49.99, but to the cashier's surprise, it rung up as $26.97! The cashier double-checked the other colors and confirmed those are still $49.99, but the Matte White Mountains indeed costs $26.97 at any Specialized store.

Looks like it might get hot and sweaty with no ventilation on top. Great for those with little to no hair though.

I wondered about that too, and my first thought was to try it as a winter helmet, but they say "they integrate hidden vents for increased airflow, so you stay cool even when the temps rise", and many of the reviewers have positive things to say about the ventilation.
