I bought a $25 gift card and redeemed through the phone app. The $4 bonus offer appears after the card is redeemed. I was confused by whether or not this was a Best Buy store offer or a Google Play offer initially.

Yes you can~

Just make sure under billing you select that as the payment source instead of your CC. I use my credit to pay for my YTP and Google One, so I try to "stock up" when there's a great deal on Google GC's.

So it doesn't look like the $4 credit can be used for subscriptions. I was hoping to use this for Spotify so it doesn't look like this will work for me.

Any actual good uses for google store credit other than wasting on apps/inapp purchases? Only way i've found so far is paying for google cloud storage.

This offer is so confusing. "Credit expires 14 days after gift card redemption."

So you have to buy $25 gift card, redeem it within play store, at which time another $4 shows up in your account. Does that $4 expire in 14 days?

It's a $4 discount offer against an app, game, or in-app item with an on-store price greater than $5, and it does expire 14 days after you redeem the card. Not a $4 credit to your balance.
