Edit: after doing some research and asking around it looks like this will install many android games but the buttons and pads don't work with them and sometimes after game updates the games may not launch on this or may be glitchy. Doesn't fit my use case so I'll keep searching for a cheap rog ally.
For me, the AMOLED screen is the selling point and I'll take that in trade over the lesser performance compared to some similar price range options. I mostly play less demanding JRPGs, etc. as well so ultimate performance is less necessary
I would prefer an OLED screen, but after using the 7" screen on the G-cloud, I don't think I can go back to this 5.5" screen, which is about the same size as my phone screen.
I'm still tempted by this, just because I love OLED that much.

hehe yep. not to get too sad, but i realized it wasnt about the games it was about a time. and the sad thing is, you cant ever go back :/
i still dream of a great small sf2/pac man/Tetris mostly machine. which i pretty much have in my rp2+ i guess. i have successfully resisted buying everything that comes down the pike. we have emulation handheld at home lol.
the next one i want to buy, should be 300-400 and have EVERYTHING. like all the power, 7" screen, great d-pad, etc. so i can be done with it.
rog ally x would be kinda perfect, but is also $800. steam deck is not for me because it has no native destiny 2 support, my main game the last ten years.
this thing is kinda tempting cus of the price and oled, but i know it's yet another half measure cus it doesnt have enough power. and I'm not sure how well it would stream compared to say G Cloud, does it run android and just support streaming apps?? i know g cloud does. but g cloud has a crap d-pad and lacks power.
