Does expiration matter? I've had several different brands go past expiration and never notice a difference
not too much i suppose. they go far beyond expiration date as long as its kept closed without moisture. could prob last over a yr beyond expiration easily

It's funny to me that this gets front paged here on Slick Deals with all the raging that goes on here about Myprotein's high pricing. Because when you break this deal to the actual amount you are paying per/gram of protein you can can literally get this same pricing deal anytime ordering a 5.5lb of isolate from Myprotein with one of their always active 45%off coupons. In fact it's even slightly cheaper atm with a currently non-frontpaged worthy 50% off.
The 240mg of cost cut sodium weight in it's flavoring would be bad enough for a concentrated blend. For an iso it's pretty comparatively terrible to other iso options. Especially for you older and non-kiddies out there who should ideally be keeping a mindful tab on their daily sodium intake (as well as researching it's relationship with your body's potassium levels). This is basically 15%+ in one serving that in turn is just essentially making you have to be more restrictive and potentially less fun with the real food you are eatting.
People here will lash out for saying it, but it's really hard to make a case for this being a smart buy as a comparative product imo. Much less being FP worthy.
If you have friend or family member that's willing to go half, feasible this is done before expiration.
there are 110 servings and it's over 100 days til the earliest expiry date. i don't think it's unreasonable for a person who consumes this to take a single serving per day.

Reserving the Isopure for before workouts exclusively, blending in my oats + fruit meal.

Well the fundamental point behind what they are doing is actually pretty clear. And in all fairness a fairly standard approach across the industry. The unregulated amount of protein you are buying is being sold by total weight, and that total weight sell model allows for the subtraction of total protein content (by far the most expensive production ingredient) anytime it's putting anything else in there. The more flavoring or blend of whatever gets added the higher profit margins on the product.
Hence why you'll always find the random people chiming in about wanting to find/buy unflavored options. As even among the most reputable outlets it's important not to lose sight of the fact that for all intents and purposes that label claim is essentially an unregulated "estimate". A business model estimate where whether it's the varying degree of 1 or 2 grams off you might expect out of ON, or the WTF subtraction values you'll typically find exposed behind meeting those too good to be true pricing and makes no comparative market sense.....it's going to come in under.
No doubt Isopure is certainly one of the more reputable brands out there. But I've never really been a fan of the premium high pricing, or the more aggressive "gotcha" cost cut stuff like what is going in to this flavored offering. I also personally find that latter more comparatively offensive then the find the best coupon game Myprotein is always making people play, but I guess YMMV.
