I've had this machine for 6 months now and it rocks, but the lint filter is horrible. So much lint and dog hair get into the cooling coils and inside the machine. To remedy this BEFORE YOU EVER RUN A LOAD go buy the primary filter strip kit from homeguysolutions.com or make your own watching his YouTube if you don't wanna drop $50

also I got mine scratch and dent for $1800 all in

Got this in the Costco deal about 6 months ago and absolutely love it. So so convenient, saves energy. 2'20" for a load with "extra dry" on. We have toddlers and a baby and it's so nice to throw a dirty sheet/pajamas in before heading out and coming home to them being clean. No more, "Did you remember to put the clothes in the dryer?"

I don't trust any appliance Samsung manufactures. They always come with great features, only to break down months if not after a year or 2. Not worth it, I'd stick with GE.

I had been looking at the LG, but the minimum clearances stated in the install instructions were just too big for my space. . . . This one may work.

Just a heads up for some that are looking at these. . . . The LG installed has a big depth of 34.25 inches when you include the minimum clearance needed for that one.

Anyone have the LG and not have that large of a clearance from the back wall?

Having one doesn't do you a ton of good without the other anyways though lol
At least when the dryer isn't working I can still wash my clothes and hang them to dry outside.

The Samsung Bespoke version is better in just about every way, the clothes come out dry and the coil cleaner works better. The GE microban seals are the only thing it does better.

This is also an extortionist price for what is, essentially, a $700 combo washer dryer with a $200 dehumidifier. Of course, that's the same with heat pump water heaters - a $600 electric tank heater with a $200 air conditioner for $1800. Chicken and egg, though - the price won't come down until the volume goes up, but the volume won't go up until the price comes down. Plus, the MBAs are counting on users who are stuck needing this kind of machine due to available space or location that doesn't allow a legal vent run w/o a booster, or a "value proposition" - i.e. a reduction of 9 SF of construction @ $200/SF is worth $1800.
Appliance manufacturers make very little profit on washers. Majority(>80%) come from dryer sales. So there is little incentive to make a combo aside from marking it up to the same cost as buying separately. It's a niche product market probably for space conscious builders/developers. Price will probably not come down until the commercial market segment grows considerably.

Love the concept but can't help but to think about how hard it is to find a knowledgeable service tech and like with combo ovens, instead of being out 1 machine I'm out both.
I think the ideal use case would be two of these in a primary laundry room or as an extra point of use laundry station in say the bedroom area (since it only needs 120v). Price point makes 2 of these out of reach.

I wouldn't trust GE either. We had a terrible experience with their appliances. They are cheap with the most basic parts, and combine parts to force you to buy expensive replacement parts.

We've had this type of washer/dryer combo since 2005. Have loved them all (3) and they have been built better each time. Our newest is a Samsung so can't speak to this one, but the convenience will make me never go back.
all 3? did all 2 broke and you need to replace them

It's a simple machine, we have had both LG versions since 2015 and I was able to do the few repairs myself. There are LG and GE techs for a reason also.

Any feedback on how good the drying is? I've read some reviews where the drying takes too long or doesn't dry as well as a stand alone dryer

Glad to see these combos becoming more popular. We bought our Samsung 5 years ago and use it so much. Best thing ever not to have to remember to put clothes in the dryer. Even the kids do their own laundry now. Hope they stay around when ours dies. Worst part on ours is no lint trap, has killed one pump, but was an easy fix.
