It's not always about you.

There are many people who don't drive, can't drive, don't have a vehicle, or for some other reason can't or don't want to, or prefer not to shop physically in the store.

Instacart provides a service. It doesn't sell groceries or other physical items. The stores sell the items, Instacart shops for pickup and/or delivers. There's a cost to that which many of us are willing to pay either due to necessity, convenience, or simply because we want to.

Costco same day actually is Instacart. The difference is that the shopping platform is on Costco's same-day website and not on the Instacart website .

It is entirely separate. Any cart or order placed on one website is not available to view on the other. Any instacart gift cards applied to one or not available on the other. Delivery scheduling is also separate.

Being statutory blind, delivery services are a life saver. I hate depending on others and I also hate taking anything heavy on public transit. So dog food, detergent, and beverage deliveries from Instacart, Shipt, or Walmart+ is a game changer for many of us!

It's YMMV. My costco prices on instacart are marked up about 10-15% higher but Aldi's prices are nearly identical. Hence, I use discounted instacart gift cards on Aldi pick ups.

And right on the Same day /Instacart pages it says that the items are more than in the warehouse. You don't have to use the service

Is it possible to apply an instacart GC to the order with the $15 coupon? I can't seem to get it to work, it's only letting me pay with a creditcard/paypal.

yes, because I love the airbnb model where a room is advertised at $150/night and then I get to find out later if there is an extra $50 or $200 in cleaning fees

On paper towels for instance, on costco.com is $22.99 (free 2-day shipping at $75),

Costco same day is $23.27. Only $0.28 more or 1.2%. Not bad at all. (free shipping but minimum order $35)

But what I can't tell is if the paper towels are $19.99 in store for instance. In that case costco.com is 15% more and Costco same day is 16% more.

Example: Kirkland Signature Paper Towels, 2-Ply, 160 Sheets, 12 Individually Wrapped Rolls

Ordered Vita Coco (3 qty), it was discounted by $5 for members as well: 54 tetrapacks of 11 oz each for ~40 with tips doesn't seem too bad!

Interesting. The items I've compared for Costco in my area are almost always 10% higher on Instacart. I haven't done the same for Same Day yet. Aldi is also almost always exactly 10% higher.
