It's not always about you.

There are many people who don't drive, can't drive, don't have a vehicle, or for some other reason can't or don't want to, or prefer not to shop physically in the store.

Instacart provides a service. It doesn't sell groceries or other physical items. The stores sell the items, Instacart shops for pickup and/or delivers. There's a cost to that which many of us are willing to pay either due to necessity, convenience, or simply because we want to.

Costco same day actually is Instacart. The difference is that the shopping platform is on Costco's same-day website and not on the Instacart website .

It is entirely separate. Any cart or order placed on one website is not available to view on the other. Any instacart gift cards applied to one or not available on the other. Delivery scheduling is also separate.

lol then make the fees more apparent instead of sneaking them in by inflating prices.
Restaurant deliveries do this too, though supposedly its the restaurant jacking the prices to offset the fees charged by the service. But with Uber Eats, for example, it seems like the menu prices are about 15% higher everywhere

Just a heads up... This works for forever stamps. They are the same price regardless if you buy them in store or have them delivered. That means instead of $67.75 you get 100 stamps for $52.75.
Yeah, but don't you have to tip and pay a delivery fee?

yep- save $15 on hugely marked up Instacart prices. Bargain
Completely agree. For the people who cannot drive to a store, it might make sense paying higher price for the same item which is available cheaper in store but for the people who can drive to a store this offer is worthless and even costs more.

Just checked an item to use this deal, the online unit price is $11.69. I need to buy 5 packs to qualify for the coupon. That's $58.45+tax=$61.96. With coupon, I'll pay $46.96

The same item is sold at 8.99 at store, that would cost me $47.64 for 5 packs including tax. So, it's a $1.00 discount??? Common man ....

Just make sure that the offer is not expired. The last time this was offered, Instacart sent the email campaign to me the day after it expired. Then would not give me the discount, neither would Costco.

The complaining about markups is so tiresome… if it doesn't make sense for you even after the coupon, why waste the energy warning people who don't need warnings 😩

Costco is a 40 minute drive each way for us, plus the time/energy cost of running the gauntlet of the store itself. Even after all the Instacart markups and no coupon, we still save money vs. buying our groceries at a regular supermarket. The $15 off $50 is a great perk.

Exactly, Costco is 45 mins from my place as well. Also whenever we go to Costco we buy things which are not needed lol so that makes up for the inflated prices as we only buy what we need. And we can always buy 20pxt off gift card. Some of us value our time more than 15pct of our grocery bill. Stop complaining already here as everyone on this site know about inflated prices

I don't see the rotisserie chicken nor any food court items nor prep foods nor newly stocked items I can see physically in store. What's the point of a personal shopper like instacart?? Guess I still have to get my meds physically.

Your comment doesn't make any sense.

What does this have to do with people willing to pay for Instacart's shopping and delivery service.

That prices may be higher than in store prices is not "snuck in". Whether prices for a store are the same as in-store prices or higher is readily available at the top of the shopping page for an individual store in a section called "View pricing policy".
What are you talking about?! So you want me to bust out a calculator for each item?! Costco is the only one that has this model… just charge the same prices and I'll pay the fee, I don't want to do the math!
