Such a nice laptop but they gimped the battery and screen in the AMD models for some reason. I'm not buying Intel so I guess it's time to hold out for ARM.

How much of the 64gb ram can be assigned to gpu? If it's only 4g or 8g, it's useless and can't get much AI done even if you install rocm.

The new ARM SD X Elite is not in this league. You cannot develop on it since there is no SQL server or virtualization like VMWare. And no power apps like Solidworks. Graphics are also weak for gaming.
For a low-end consumption and office laptop, SD is great, but this is not designed for that.

I returned the 32GB version today because the fan made an annoying high-pitched sound. It seems like the problem has persisted over multiple generations. It may depend on the temperature and the location of the laptop.

I tried out a different Lenovo Intel laptop that performed the same tasks faster without the high-pitched sound. It's not all Lenovo laptops. Maybe it's because the Intel one has two fans instead of one?

Then don't use AI...the quality of your work will be better, and you won't need massively increased specs -- saving you both time and money.

My eyes feel fine after working on 60hz monitors for years, so it sounds like 120hz and 0.2K more resolution is just an additional battery draw and increased cost.
