It's $934 now with the BUYMORELENOVO code. If a beautiful 120Hz OLED display and an extra 32GB isn't important to you, then you can save an extra $145 but to me, OLED and 32GB is worth way more than $145.
This is not a gaming laptop.
64GB ram is overkill for most of the people and based on that, the other deal is attractive. But, there is Hell & Heaven difference between a 60 Hz 1080p 100% sRGB IPS display and this 120 Hz 2.8K OLED display and I would just go for this model just for that. The additional 32GB of Ram is added bonus.

Is it worth spending $200 more than the previous deal for same laptop except display and DRAM being better on this?

This has the best laptop display I've ever used:
1. Anti-reflective OLED
2. HDR peak brightness 616 nits
3. External Thunderbolt is 4K 120 Hz

I maxed out all non-SSD upgrades and warranty. It was ordered through a CB website from the Beneplace Exclusive Offer section of Lenovo.com

120hz oled with a tiny battery is going to give terrible battery life
I bought the previous thinkpad deal of the lcd version and was very disappointed. There was a dell deal that had a 8840u, almost the same as this deal, for 460 dollars with cashback. The top of the line thinkpad quality from a decade ago is nonexistant with the new models.
This is a newer model than the previous with a 7840U/780M but that previous model with OLED (60Hz) the battery wasn't terrible, but it wasn't comparable to the most power-efficient laptops either. I think when I did YT video playback test, it was around 7 hours. With the advent of power banks now, having extra power on the go is easy and cheap.

I bought a maxed-out P14s also from the Beneplace deal for a friend and with 5G card and best 5YR warranty, the Beneplace price was only about $50 more than this deal (plus a 5G card plus best 5YR warranty), so not worth canceling the order and ordering here.

But I did order just this deal and with senior discount, it dropped to $1063 ($36 less). Was hoping for more for senior discount but it seems Lenovo uses some secret formula to calculate the discounts!

Shouldn't be an issue with the Thunderbolt ports.

Yeah, looking at the MBP M3 Pro, Apple charges an extra $800 to upgrade to 64GB RAM from the base model. Sort of shows how ridiculous Apple's upgrade pricing is.

You find yourself away from a power outlet for 10+ hours a day? Curious what that scenario is? There are always power banks you can bring along to give you a full recharge while on the go. Also, maybe not this P14s, but there are other Windows laptops (XPS 13) that most certainly give 10+ hours of true battery use (doing normal tasks, not playing games).

For folks who aren't aware, the weight Lenovo reports for this laptop (sub 3lbs) is likely inaccurate: https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=171932313&postcount=20

The specs do say "starting at" 2.89lbs. There is probably a certain minimal configuration (different display panel, less RAM, smaller 2230 SSD) that comes in at 2.9lbs.

I thought that was an Intel thing. I'm a bit out of the game.
