Update- switching from chrome on my phone to safari on my iPad worked.
I get 'API error' when I try to log in on different browsers on phone and iPad. Both iPhone and Android. Incognito mode and regular. Wi-fi and cellular data. Can't log in in any way, shape, or form on phone. Laptop worked fine for all the other 9 days, I give up.
