How sad what "staff" is resorting to in order to meet the quota.
I don't think there's anything wrong with posting "new customer" deals as long as it's stated clearly (like in the title for instance). How many phone deals are there for trading in specific model phones or for new customers transferring in (otherwise without transfer you forfeit about half the bill credits/rebate). Or the Samsung EPP deals.
This is me personally speaking seperately from whether the cast iron pan is actually a good deal, and more on the idea categorically not posting new customer deals.
As long as users keep giving thumbs down to bad deals and thumbs up to good deals, the ratings will sort them out and the good deals will float to the top.
