No savings if your current washer still accomplishes the job.

Basic washer sounds great. I don't need Wifi and apps. The washer needs to wash. That's all.

Spin isn't meant to clean your clothes. It's meant to dry. The soap and agitation are meant to clean.

Reviews seem good. Fakespot rating is an A as well. I pulled the trigger on this one. I've read these are rebadged Frigidaire units.

I bought one a few years ago, the spin doesn't really clean your clothes. Not like the old style top load washers.

The buttons and controls look very similar to my 6 years old GE washer that I just had to replace. I wonder if GE/Haier makes these for Best Buy?

Pretty sure it's a rebadged Midea.

Here is likely the equivalent model: https://www.midea.com/us/laundry/...mlv41n1aww

Thanks, I've been limping my 12 year old unit along. My wife is ecstatic that I've finally ordered a new washer.

When I looked at this unit earlier in the year the sales rep told me it was made by Samsung.... and was NOT a good washing machine, so who knows who actually makes it.

WB

It does look like the Frigidaire unit though Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

If I have a 20 year old washer, what would my savings with this be, if any?

I have a real dogshit speedqueen (a 2018 or 2019 model that doesn't agitate worth a damn and was fixed in the next model year). To clean clothes I soak them for 8 hours before washing them. I really need to replace it but I can at least cheaply fix the SpeedQueen if it ever breaks....Wonder how much and how plentiful the parts to this one are.

Keep and repair your 20 old washer. These won't last more than 5-7 years. The biggest issue on any washer (exception SQ) would be the transmission and circuit board from what I have been reviewing.

I have a 2007 Whirlpool which the inner tub is rusted. I tried spraying enamel but I guess I have not done a good enough job getting the rust despite the enamel saying it can go directly on rust. To replace the tub I am looking at $200 just for the part (I can install it myself). That is almost the cost of this washer. I still think that it is worth fixing my old one instead of getting this.
