I appreciate the contribution of the link, but I feel parents or expectant parents really research and choose their car seats based on their and their baby's needs. So it should be an apples to apples price comparison, not a "this car seat is lower cost" comparison. Cost would just be one of the factors in their decision.

Also construction quality Diono are steel frame.
And QXT goes up to 10 years old, baby seat to booster.

Even a Graco 4DXL is like $200+ and I think those are more comparable again without a steel frame.

Not slim fit like Dionos if you need 3 in backseat so not even a fair comparison.

As a parent, features and price is a huge factor.

Should take a look at some of the ratings and reviews on this. Not great overall, just throwing that out as safety is obviously #1 priority. Do your own research on this one to make your decision. I feel better options are out there.

Agreed. I have the older version and one of their biggest selling points is the "three across" feature in case you have a small car. The reviews say they're hard to install and I definitely struggle with getting a tight fit every time I have to take it out to fold down the seats. Doesn't happen often but look to spend 20-30 minutes each time to take it out and eventually put it back in.

It seems like the headrest coming unglued is a common issue with this model along with the seat not being able to tighten all the way down when installed in some model vehicles. Otherwise it's a tank of a car seat.

I have 3 of the 3QX series. They are heavy beasts. But lots of padding and seem like they are safe. Also they can be in reverse facing up to 4 years old which is safer. They are really a pain to get in and out so if yoi are constantly doing that then look elsewhere. Also a bit of a pain to clean as you can remove the liner but it takes some getting used to. Done it about 10 times due to vomitting. Overall I reccommend but know what you are getting.

Agreed, I had a car seat that had a stiff belt. The more expensive one had a smooth one. Something that I had to struggle to tighten everyday for years was not worth the extra fifty or hundred bucks.
