Black enameled is a downer but then that's Staubs thing. I much prefer the white/almond enamel that Le Creuset uses.

Still, pretty good deal for a quality piece of cookware assuming it fits your cooking needs/style. It should last your lifetime and beyond.

Is that from a purely aesthetic perspective? Or is there something else to consider with a black interior? I was thinking it would show stains less.

Its more of a visibility thing than aesthetics. A lighter enameled interior (white, almond) like Le Creuset's allow you to see how the fond is developing after you browned meats on your Dutch oven for a stew or something. More difficult to see with a black interior. It all depends on the things you cook and/or your cooking technique sometimes.
