My local Costco (North Atlanta) had these for 49.97 on closeout. There were 2 there, 1 after I left . Not sure this is every Costco or just specific ones but was such a good deal I felt like I had to post. This is the first deal I've ever posted so if I did it wrong don't kill me.

Great price. I see one Costco near me has it at this price too.

(Click the Instacart button on the product page to see if your store has stock. Or call for better accuracy. Note: The Instacart price will be 17% higher than the in-store price usually.)

I bought this router at Costco on black Friday for $130

It's fast and has good range. Covers my previously dead spots at high speeds.

Costco model number is rax54s. Seems to be the same as the rax50 though. That's a dual band router with 2x2 on 2.4GHz and 4x4 on 5GHz.
It's broadcomm based. So don't it's unlikely to have decent third party firmware support.

Sold out online

For Arizona - I was at a local store. They did a statewide inventory search. No store in Arizona has this router anymore.

This was a good deal so I guess the employees got first dip.

NetGear website says this can handle upto 25 devices, isn't that less, because pretty much every devices, plugs and switches are using WiFi now.

Another user noted that it's Broadcom-based, so it almost definitely won't get OpenWRT support.

I came to the thread for the same information.

I have had this router for years and once I had more than 30 devices on it, I started getting drop outs. Wouldn't recommend it for that. I still have it and use it, but I use a Unifi 6 Pro to handle all the wireless duties. Night and day. https://store.ui.com/us/en/collec...cts/u6-pro

Most netgear consumer products have reasonably good hardware, but total crap software. Stay away. At least with the asus stuff you can install the merlin firmware which opens up console and additional functionality on many routers.

I'd say TP-Link AX1800. Installed one over a year ago and it's been rock solid.
