My neighbor has this and it is nice. I've got the ryobi 18v 10" brushless. We had a couple trees come down and we worked through them no problem with these two, I don't have any kobalt tools, but this is a good price for this and a battery if you are getting started with an battery ecosystem

Can't personally recommend the string trimmer. I have it and have to fix the string several times every time I use it.

I'm not personally endorsing or vouching for any of these, but just following on to the OPS's with some similarly good deals.

I've "Slickdealed" myself into a whole collection of Kobalt 24v "indoor" hand tools and batteries - all of which I'm very happy with. However, I'd also previously acquired a collection of Greenworks 80v outdoor tools, including everything in this list (via straight shaft trimmer and attachments), plus a [Greenworks compatible - after a bit of Dremel work] Kobalt 80v self-propelled mower.. If it wasn't for those, I'd at least be giving these a try.

Same for me, quite a hassle to keep extending the string multiple times in one trimming.

Own a cheap brushed Greeworks chainsaw and the chain speed is too slow causing the chain to skip a lot over the wood when cutting. This 6" chainsaw chain speed is 7.5 mps. The Kobalt 12" Chainsaw is 13.5 mps and Ridgid 12" Chainsaw is 10mps. So is this chainsaw going to jump around a bit when cutting with the slower chain speed? Its for the wife and having it skip and not stay positioned when cutting makes it unsafe imho.

Also, does this stop immediately after releasing trigger?
