I have a prior Aroma model...very happy with it for the past 5 years now. It's a dark horse of a rice cooker and cooks the rice pristinely! Love the fast cook rice feature. Good deal...may hop on this deal. I wouldn't hesitate if I was in dire need of one.

I have one similar to this. I use mine a lot as a slow cooker! This thing has a saute setting that can saute meat/vegetables like if you was cooking them on the stove. Then you can add your liquid and other ingredients and press the "slow cook" or "soup" setting.
This one also looks like it has a cake setting if you want to bake a cake in it without using your oven in this 100° weather.
I am new to cooking, is this similar to instant pot? I am looking to buy that for cooking chicken curry etc. Will that work instead?
This product is much different than an instant pot (pressure cooker). You can use this for curry but you will get much better and faster results using an instant pot/pressure cooker👍 i would only use this for rice even though it can be used for other thinga

i have similar size for two ppl->> too big and doesnt cook rice in small amounts well. so be careful, counter space too

Unfortunately in the world of rice cookers going with a smaller capacity =/= savings.
