Only one HDMI? Can this be used with dual monitors, e.g. via USB type C?

The USB-C connectors do not support display/DP Alt Mode, so you'd use HDMI and/or VGA.

I have a similar-sized Lenovo P330 and considering the knock-out spots on the rear of this 3i machine, I would guess there is a 16X and 4X PCIe slot inside/on the motherboard.

So, you could add a GPU, but you'd need to use a riser cable + bigger PSU to power it. Assuming there's no BIOS weirdness that would prevent such.
I would guess it does not. I looked through the user guide, the marketing materials, the datasheet, and anything else I could find in Lenovo psref, and none of it mentions PCIe slots of any kind. I found a video of this machine's predecessor on YouTube -- same knockouts, no slots on the motherboard. Anyone who buys this hoping for a PCIe slot will probably be disappointed.

I think I found the Lenovo PSREF Product Specifications Reference page for this model:

IdeaCentre 3 07IRB8 [lenovo.com]

IdeaCentre 3 07IRB8 Part Number : 90VT0065US [lenovo.com]

Here is what I was able to glean from the specs (corrections are welcome):
  • HDMI Out is likely limited to 1080p max resolution is 3840x2160@60Hz (4K@60Hz);
  • The RAM is single stick (16GB x1);
  • There is one empty RAM slot (2 slots total);
  • There are no PCI-e expansion slots;
  • There is room for one extra hard drive.

On what do you base the HDMI limitation? I think that's a bit absurd for Intel 770-gen graphics. I suspect the real limit is 4k at HDMI 2.1 spec, 120hz IIRC.

Buy a iMac for like 650$. Better performance, plus 5k screen and amazing speakers for only 250 extra.
Where? The cheapest iMac I can find is $1,300 from Best Buy and that only has 8gb RAM and 256gb SSD so you're paying 3x as much and getting less.

Seem like a FP deal, for sure.

$220 CPU
$60 SSD
$40 RAM
$20 Wi-Fi card
Genuine copy of Windows

Even if you pulled everything out and put the parts into a new motherboard, you'd be coming out ahead. Not sure if the Windows license would carry over to a different motherboard, tho.
OEM license goes with original motherboard only

Amongst other issues (iMac screen only 4.5k, iMac M1 considerably slower than this i5-14400), I am sure he's thinking of the Woot deal, which is presently $650 for a 'refurb' iMac.

I don't think they're that comparable either, but the iMac deal obviously includes a great touch-ID keyboard, very high speed IO (2x Thunderbolt ...), a crappy mouse, a top notch monitor, great speakers, and a good webcam, so there's that....

It has Intel integrated graphics - Intel 770 graphics. Go look on the MFS spec sheet to see if that's sufficient.
