$1080 - $50 from rebate sites = $1030 for this.

$1700 best price (Amazon) for M3 Pro with essentially similar specs.

So you think it's worth about 70% more to go from M1 Pro to M3 Pro?

Others have reported success in getting Apple to reset the warranty; I'd be OK to take my chances. Is it really worth 70% more? I could almost buy TWO of these for the price of a new M3 Pro (base model) that you mention.

great deal. i have this one and the M3 pro - (18GB ram) and the M1 surprisingly outperforms the M3 on most tasks.

Bought prev deal with 1TB storage. Arrived in some smudges but < 10 battery cycle and otherwise new condition. Apple warranty was expiring in Oct 2024 .. Called Apple to get the purchase date updated. I haven't tried but I think I should be able to buy AppleCare for 90 days ..
