Nice price, but a 12" pie is probably only good for 3 Adults. Might be fine for two adults and a couple young kids as you are looking at 8 pieces. Otherwise look for a 14 or 16" peel for larger pies. Of course you could make two pies with the 12" peel. Preparation takes some time but cooking a pie on a stone in a 600 degree grill literally takes 5 minutes. I just did it this last Friday.

I just got this one the other day. Paid $13. I used it today and no problem with sticking. I thew a little flour on it and it worked great. The handle is a little chunky, but it it isn't bad.
I have a wood peel too and the other comment is sort of true. you can have sticky dough and it will stick to wood too. but again, flour or cornmeal is the trick then. or parchment paper.
But with the metal it is much thinner and easier to get under the edge of the pie.

This looks like a smaller version of the one that comes with their CPZ-120 which is okay if floured/corn meal. The larger one does not have the ridges that this one appears to have that may help with release. I would almost lean toward wood and hang it as decoration if no place to store and wall space to hang!

I've got 2 relatively cheap peels. 1 wooden one for putting pies in the oven, one metal for taking them out. The wood is nice because it's doesn't stick. The metal one is gets up under the pizza more easily.

Probably a good idea! I only have an aluminum one. For higher hydration dough it is very hard to have it not stick loading in, so I am generally having to use parchment

This is it right here. Wood or bamboo to launch and aluminum or steel to remove. Plus a smaller turning peel if you want to be fancy. The thin metal makes it much easier to get them out. I have a slotted metal one and it was impossible to launch a pizza with it. Then I changed my setup.

Also makes me more efficient for pizza night. Someone can prep their pizza while I have the metal one to take one out when it is done. Launch from bamboo. Give it back for the next to be prepped.

With the pizza oven insert in my smoker I can usually get the stone to about 700-750°.

It has been 95°. Looking for cooler weather so we can do some pizzas soon.
