Very similar to another 3060ti HP deal that I missed out on a few weeks ago. Seems good for the specs. Includes a 2 year warranty

A 3060 Ti is equivalent to a 4060. And we all know Intel made paltry performance gains for the last few CPU generations, not to mention the fact that modern games would be GPU limited anyway. Can you get a complete 4060 rig for under $500? The 16GB memory is fine; 256GB storage is small, but NAND is dirt cheap, probably the least expensive thing to upgrade.

It seems solid for 1080p and some 1440p gaming, even with modern titles. It has a 2 year warranty, and it would be a huge upgrade for me from my 1660 Super. Without making any modifications it seems like a decent machine for the price. I couldn't find anything else much better without spending almost 2x the money.

I bought a Dell 8940 (similar specs) for $300 on Offer up. I agree the proprietary parts suck and upgradability is very limited. I see it as a console alternative (PS5/XBX equivalent). As someone new to PC gaming, this is great performance for the money. In 4 years, I'm happy to get rid of it and potentially getting $100-150 back.

Intel made paltry performance gains for the last few gens yes. But not 11-12. 12gen is a quite significant jump from 11.

If you are comparing this with a new 4060 PC I have a better option the $519 i5-12500H and RTX4060 8GB Gigabyte laptop. Performance is quite similar, and you gain a full PC that has screen and speaker and all other parts.
Or you can get an order PC with 2070 and 10th gen similar performance for even cheaper.
First, that laptop sold out immediately. Second, that had a 75 watt 4060 that will go nowhere near the performance of a desktop 3060ti.

I don't understand why people say this isn't a good deal. A 3060ti is equivalent to a 4060 which still sells for $300. This entire PC is $460, only $160 more. Yes, the Core i5-11400 2.6GHz is a 2021 cpu, but for the price this is plenty fast to do anything the average person buying a $460 PC needs to do. Only issue I see is it's only 16gb and only has 2 slots, so to get to 32gb you'll need to buy two 16gb dimms.
here's a video on how to upgrade the memory, SSD and GPU

I bought one of these a week ago. It has 500-watt ps. I couldn't find any dust on the fans. Looks like brand new. Really Happy with the purchase.

Here''s the original item Link to the HP store:

This is a great deal even if you can't upgrade or transplant any parts. This will do all modern games at 1080p mid-high settings no problem. The 3060 Ti was a beast when it came out. It's worth half the cost of the entire tower.
